Prime Minister visits our processing plant in Côte d'Ivoire (06/05/2013)

In March we were honoured by a visit to our cocoa processing plant in Yopougon from the Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire Kablan Duncan.

Managing Director Côte d'Ivoire Lionel Soulard showed the Prime Minister, who was accompanied by the Minister of Industry and other dignitaries, around the plant.

The visit provided the opportunity for Cargill to show a great example of successful industrial development and local processing of a crop. Processing locally rather than exporting for this purpose maintains a substantial part of the value chain within the origin country, providing employment and revenue.
